Exams
Along with other performance opportunities, exams offer our pupils a chance to demonstrate their very best dancing in front of an examiner, and gain a reward for their hard work throughout the year. Whilst exams are not compulsory for our pupils, they are an important part of any dancer's training, and help pupils to build up confidence and self esteem.
We hold exam sessions at least 3 times a year with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD). The RAD and the ISTD are at the forefront of dance training both in the UK and internationally. We also offer Musical Theatre exams with the International Dance Teachers' Association (IDTA). These three societies are highly regarded within the industry and are endorsed and accredited by the Council for Dance Training and Education (CDET) and by OFQUAL.
We enter our pupils for all levels of exam, from Class Awards for our 5 year olds, to professional level qualifications for our most senior pupils. From Grade 6, pupils who achieve a pass in their exams can use their results towards their points tariff when applying to university or higher education in the UK.
Uniforms
We have a uniform for all our classes which can be ordered through us. We suggest new pupils complete their trial lessons before purchasing any items.
We do ask that pupils come to class in the correct uniform and with hair neatly tied back or in a bun where appropriate.
